31st December 21 - Dogz Online Rising Star of the Year 2021
Storm finishes as North Island runner-up in the Golden Retriever class in Dogz Online's Rising Star of the Year competition. He also finished joint 20th in the overall Gundog Class. A great achievement by Storm but slightly disappointing as he'd only been able to compete for 2.5 months, and had been climbing up the leaderboard when shows were cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Final Golden Retriever placings were:
1. Goldendream Nine to One - Melanie Snowdon - 35 pts
2. Goldridge Game-of-Thrones (Storm) - T Sheehy & G Sheehy - 30 pts
3. Seacove Roll The Dice - Janette Bedford - 15 pts
28th August 21 - NZDJA Auckland Branch (O) & Covid Restrictions
Storm and Star were both entered in this show which was one of the first to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Unfortunately, the restrictions were to remain in place through until the end of the year for Auckland based dogs and shows.
13th & 14th Aug 21 - Baby Puppy to Puppy Class
On the 13th August Star moved from Baby Puppy Class up into the Puppy class with Storm also moving up into the Puppy class on the 14th August. They will now compete in the Puppy class for the next 6 months.
31st Jul 21 - Pencarrow Kennel Association (CH) & Upper Hutt Kennel Association (CH)
In the Pencarrow show in the morning Storm records a 2nd in Class. In the afternoon at the Upper Hutt show Storm records his best result yet at a Championship show by winning Baby Puppy Dog, Baby Puppy of Breed and Best Baby Puppy of Group. He then represents the Gundog Group and puts in a strong performance in the Best Baby Puppy In Show final.
10th & 11th Jul 21 - Kumeu Kennel Association (CH) & Tokoroa Canine Association (CH)
At almost 5 months old, Storm and Star make their Championship show debuts. At the Kumeu KA show Storm wins Baby Puppy Dog and Star wins Baby Puppy Bitch. Storm then beats Star in the final to win Baby Puppy of Breed. At the Tokoroa show Storm and Star repeat their results from the previous day, with Storm beating Star in the final to again win Baby Puppy of Breed.
27th Jun 21 - Hauraki Canine Association (O)
In the morning show Storm wins Baby Puppy Dog and Star wins Baby Puppy Bitch. Storm then beats Star in the final to win Baby Puppy of Breed. Storm and Star repeat their results in the afternoon show, with Storm beating Star in the final to win Baby Puppy of Breed.
12th & 13th Jun 21 - Purina Pro Plan (O) & Hibiscus Coast Kennel Association (O)
On Saturday at the Purina Pro Plan shows Storm and Star both record two 2nd's in Class each. On Sunday at the Hibiscus Coast KA morning show, Star wins Baby Puppy Bitch, whilst Storm wins Best Baby Puppy of Breed, plus Reserve Dog in overall Best Dog of Breed. In the afternoon show, Star again wins Baby Puppy Bitch, whilst Storm doubles up by winning Best Baby Puppy of Breed for the second time and then goes on to win Best Baby Puppy of Group (i.e. Gundogs).
15th May 21 - Kumeu Kennel Association (O)
At 12 weeks old Storm and Star make their show debuts. Storm records a 1st and 2nd in Class, and Star records two 2nd's in Class.
